Pharmanautix Italia s.r.l., a company operating in the field of biotechnology research, is seeking a professional for the position and employment classification (inquadramento) of Computational Chemist – Molecular Docking Specialist, to be hired under a full-time, fixed-term employment contract, with their place of work in Milan, Italy, and working fully remotely, subject to periodic business travel within Italy and the possibility of occasional international business travel.

What you will do
- Utilise state-of-the-art molecular docking software to establish an optimised prediction pipeline to predict drug-target interaction.
Required
- Hands-on experience in molecular docking, specifically diffusion models.
- Python, intermediate or above.
- Experience in protein-ligand binding prediction.
- Knowledge of protein databases: PDB, ChEMBL, UniProt, etc.
- Knowledge of structural prediction tools: AlphaFold, Rosetta, etc.
- Knowledge of RDKit.
- Some experience using cluster computing from remote access, e.g. SSH or similar.
Preferred
- PhD with focus on molecular docking, e.g. computational chemistry or structural biology.
- AutoDock, DiffDock, Glide, etc.
- Experience/understanding of molecular dynamics.
- Familiarity with drug discovery pipelines.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical pipelines and target selection strategies.
